We couldn't guess in 2013 (release of QuarkXPress 10) what would be the situation in the year 2015. I understand that you would like to use your version of QuarkXPress as long as possible even though Operating Systems change. If not, then we need to find out the cause on your machine – with your help please. For example by email at QuarkXPress 2015 has no known El Capitan specific issues, it is most likely one of the above. If that all doesn't solve it, please contact Quark's support.
